Ciao ragazzi. Ho delle belle monete patinate, che però col tempo da un bella patina nera cominciano a formarsi brutte macchie verdi......allora volevo cercare di preservare e far risaltare la patina con l'olio di vaselina! Io attualmente ne ho due immerse da mezza giornata....ma quando le tiro fuori come agisco? Le pulisco con un panno? Ma dopo mi rimangono unte e mi ungono anche il panno? Oppure le faccio asciugare davanti al fuoco? Illuminatemi!

asciugale bene con un panno e passaci un velino sotilissimo di cera, resteranno protette e inalterate per molto tempo

l'olio di vasellina non serve per proteggere ma per far staccare le impurità, ovviamente penetrando offre una blanda protezione.
Come dice Crav, usa la cera.

Grazie ragazzi. Io prima le passo in ossigenata che è un mostro per levare la terra incrostata. Poi un bagnato in distillata e poi in vaselina, più che altro x fare risaltare e fare la bella patina nera. Quindi le asciugo completamente? Che cera uso e dove la trovo?

certo si possono usare anche le cere neutre per mobilio che trovi nei colorifici ma sono in latte grandi, la Renaissance la trovi in vendita su internet in vasetti più contenuti, è un po' più cara ma davvero ne serve poca e per i piccoli pezzi come le monete e medagliole è ottima.

Mi piace l'idea della cera. grazie! Come vi ho detto prima, tempo fa misi delle monete in ossigenata x pulirle e appena asciugate era perfette ...con quella bella patina nera uniforme! Dopo qualche settimana però si sono ricoperte di chiazze verdastre che prima non c'erano.....cosa può essere? l'ossido che agisce a contatto con l'aria? La cera potrebbe rendere lo stile ''moneta bagnata con bella patina nera'' ?

La cera crea un velo protettivo pari ad una vernice e per sua natura sàtura il colore, esattamente come fosse bagnata. Quella per mobili, se ne hai in casa, va benissimo, purchè di buona qualità, a base di cera vergine, carnauba ed essenza di trementina, niente siliconi!

Quindi il processo è ossigenata poi distillata e poi olio di vasellina e per ultimo la cera.. Quanto tempo in ossigenata? Quanto tempo in distillata? E quanto tempo nell'olio di vasellina?
