A rare relic from the 1920s: The Berlin transvestites bar "Eldorado" made this aluminum coin as an “early marketing campaign”. On one side is a dancing women couple, on the other side a pair of dancing men. Supposedly - so says the legend - visitors could buy such a coin to dance with a “real ” transvestite. The “Eldorado” was located in Motzstrasse 15 in Schöneberg and was known also outside Berlin. Ironically, the political lesbian and gay movement rather declined on it, cause they did not want that transvestites are worn pompous to market. fonte: The Schwules Museum
